Hi all,

I've been testing some automation today, which begins with a lay bet on the fav as the race goes in play at a % lower than it's bfsp (or position 1 sorted in order of favoritism, as it's described) .

It has been working fine until the 20:00 race at wolverhampton where it layed the 2nd fav, at odds that would not have fit the instruction. Any ideas what could have caused this?

Kind regards

Were the 1st and 2nd fav close at all?

No, 5/4 and 7/2 and the in play bet was at a price below what would ave been programmed.

By default the order of favouritism is determined by lowest back price so when all the money is cancelled (except for keep bets) at the off the order of favouritism for that first second or two could be anything.

If you are going to trigger a bet that close to the start the best way is to continually trigger a 'Fix market order rule' every refresh from post time and add a 'NOT in-play condition'

Your in-play rule will then use this order when it triggers rather than what happens the 1st second after the off.

If you have other in-play rules you can run a 'Unfix market order rule' something like 3-4secs in the race and from then on you'll be back to live order of favouritism
