This is a basic Guardian automation rule for use on In-Running horse racing markets

The bot will place a back bet for £10 at the best market price 30 seconds before the start if a horse is being ridden by one of your preferred Jockeys and its in the front three of the betting (1st-3rd fav)

For the purposes of setting up this bot I've added the current top 10 jockeys on the flat and NH (jumps) so far this season, you can of course add, remove or edit this list any way you want

*Note, the purpose of this bot is to show how to set up a file to trigger from a list of jockey names, I've therefore only instructed the bot to place a straight £10 bet on that runner, so feel free to edit this to do whatever you want ie, scalp, B2L etc

How it works and using the Rules File
Once you have it imported into your Guardian you can edit those (or any other parts of the file) anyway you want or remove them and add your own rules to use the recent form very easily by clicking on "Edit Rules File".

Please refer to the 'Note' tab for a more detailed explanation on how each rule works and how it may be connected/linked to other rules within the file

**As with any automation bot always run in practice mode first to ensure everything is working fine, and repeat this each time you make any changes**

Please note you will need to be using at least V1.57 to use this file, if you are using a older version you can download V1.57 from here

Downloading and Importing the Files
To use the file just click on the 'Bet on Front Three if Ridden by List of Jockeys.baf' link below and that will download it to your computer, then with guardian open on the "Automation" tab click "Import a Rules File" as shown in the image, once imported it will now appear in the pick list area just above, you can now apply it to any markets you have added into guardian.

Tip

To edit your list of jockeys just open each of the three 'bet' rules and then select the 'Text Comparison' condition, and begin editing the names.
I added two of these conditions here just to keep the flat and jump jockey lists separate, but if you only wanted one or the other then you can delete the one no longer required and also the start and end of the group conditions - leaving just the one 'Text Comparison' Condition.

Is this type of editing the key to importing selections every day? Would you overwrite the rules every day by pasting the selections from Word (for example) into the appropriate place(s)?

Yes, I've got another example to release shortly on this but effectively it will eliminate the need to connect Excel sheets or import from them, instead you could have a rule/s with a text comparison condition as above, then copy any paste a list of runners, fixtures. teams etc from any .txt, csv, excel or any list and the rule will trigger dependant on what's in that list
