Hi Dallas

How can one overcome the fact that races goes off before the time - I have seen this multiple times now ?

Say I want to lay a horse that is 7ish. Can I lay this horse at 2 at 10min before ( wont be matched ) and then use the second rule to trigger the SP ?

ANother Question - if I Lay a price below the current price I am assuming my money is laying there waiting to be matched ?
UK/IRE never go off before time, (Except maybe 1-2 in the last few years in IRE) but otherwise they have to go after post time. If your seeing early off times on the UK/IRE races then your PC clock must be out slightly.
US racing is a law to itself, they can go off a few minutes early, it's basically up to the starter who will let them go as soon as they are ready.

If you want a bet to be matched at SP you'll need to have the 'Take SP rule' trigger after the bet is placed.
For lay bets you should be placing it as close to the current odds as possible (and as late as possible) because BF uses the liability of the odds the bet is placed at, so if you place a £10 lay bet @ 2.0 the liability is £10, if the SP is is 4.0 then the stake will be £5 so as to still achieve the same £10 liability you originally placed the bet at.

To create a range you just need 2 x Book Percentage conditions, to set your upper and lower limits
https://www.betangel.com/user-guide/boo ... ntage.html

Then create a back bet rule armed at post time and place at 'Custom ticks above best reverse market price'
for the number of ticks just enter enough that there's no chance of it being matched before the off

Thann add a 'Take SP' rule, just ensure this is armed to trigger sometime after you back bet is placed

Dallas,
Awesome help.
I tested my
Toota special.baf
and found a couple of things.
First of it was triggering multiple bets but i think i fixed that.
Then the first part of the Rule Lay at % between 95-99 etc worked well.
I got lost then,
I didnt know how to set the Rule to back the horse we just layed?
Couldnt work out "The number of ticks above" so there is no chance of getting matched?
Couldnt work out the Take SP
Any Help greatly appreciated
Regards Toota

I just realised my staking for Back Brt also needs to match my lay liability which i have not factored in yet?
Learning alot just dont know how to make it work as a formula?

For this you can stake by liability (back and lay)

Incase the favourite change between the two bets and to ensure the back bet is placed on the same selection you can apply the back bet rule to 'ANY' selection and use the followig condition;

Number of Place Bet Triggers Condition
On Selection
is Equal to 1

Ok,
So my Baf doesnt work the way i need it to.
.
Toota special.baf
I would like it to do as below
• Lay the favourite when market percentage is between certain % (97-99.9%) for ex
• All good with that.
• But this LAY BET is triggering more than once
• I only want it to trigger 1 time.
• Then I want to put on a Back bet at SP to show a profit if the horse wins.
• If the market is against me I make a small loss?
Any help to my Formula attached would be Fantastic?
Thanks Brendan

is it because you have the back bet and the take sp bet on guardian selection1 instead of the favourite?
