Historical Data Question

I have some historical data files. I'm currently designing a database schema to store this historical data.

I'm hoping some of you knowledgeable people may be able to answer a few questions I have:

1. Do the "atl" (available to lay) and "atb" (available to back) values represent the amount of money at the specified price point which is currently sitting unmatched? If so, is the amount specified here the total amount of money available to back/lay? Or the difference since the last time this price point and runner was specified?

2. The data seems to be basically a series of market changes (denoted in the json file by the "mc" key). The value mc is a list and sometimes the list has a "marketDefinition" defined in it. Often the value of the marketDefinition is exactly the same as the previous time it appeared. Why is this included when there are no changes? Am I missing something?
