Market ops having a mare this evening on the racing.

No reductions factors on the 18:30. Failed to settled the 19:00 correctly as they left a runner in the market that didn't run. 20:00 they almost failed to remove a non-runner that have been announced one hour before. They just did it before the race started.

When I analyse the day's races in a morning between 8am and 9am, non-runners are regularly not removed from Betfair markets until quite some time after Timeform and the Racing Post have been made aware a horse isn't running.

You'd have thought all three would have been in sync with each other... poor show from Betfair.

I'm a longtime critic of bf, but despite all of this, let's appreciate how stable bf markets are now and especially let's be thankful to bf tech guys - they are the best.

Apparently the real pinch point for Betfair is 3pm on a Saturday during the football season. So that may not be coincidence?

That said, It has been very stable of late. But maybe the worst time to say that given the start of the EPL this weekend.

One day we'll look back and fondly remember the days when Betfair was so busy it used to crash.
