Betfair Down / Betfair site crash
My transactionshistory had wrong names on some games yesterday. Bandy teams (the sport was active on BP maybe 5-7 years ago) appeared as the teams in football-matches I had bets on. Team names was the correct ones in Profit/Loss page on BF. Very strange.

When this happened yesterday morning I thought about Betdaq, but didn't get round to it. Perhaps I might take a look today! As I understand it the BA version for that is free but has less features, right?MAGTRADEUK wrote: ↑Thu Apr 01, 2021 10:12 amI would use Betdaq but the automation options for BA on the free version is not so good, maybe BA should develop that a bit more and then we would have more resilience, of course they could increase the fee, but we would at least then have a reliable option, Betfair just dont give a toss imho, they have market dominance and their attitude seems to be "if you dont like it leave" oh wait you cant as there is nowhere else. Seems silly to have a great piece of software in front of you but you cant use it as the exchange owners are a bunch of jerks.MAGTRADEUK wrote: ↑Thu Apr 01, 2021 10:06 amyes its fkd again................... cant load markets in Guardian here... anyone else ?
I wonder if we had a mass user outage i.e. we all just did not use the exchange for a day, what then, would they dm us and we could reply sorry for not using you but were pissed of with your service we are sitting and thinking about using it again, but we apologise for the delay.
As you said they don't care because they feel that their market dominance gives them comfort in that we can't go else where. But this doesn't mean that if say all the Bet Angel users we to unite and inform them that current situation is unworkable and that we are going to not trade on days/events i feel this may at least highlight to them people are coming together and that should at least move our problems up the ladder.I would use Betdaq but the automation options for BA on the free version is not so good, maybe BA should develop that a bit more and then we would have more resilience, of course they could increase the fee, but we would at least then have a reliable option, Betfair just dont give a toss imho, they have market dominance and their attitude seems to be "if you dont like it leave" oh wait you cant as there is nowhere else. I dont think its back .. nothing loading for me .. just got the odd 50k exposed on NZ game.
this is anecdotal evidence from posters on this forum, rather than a BF proper P.R. excercise. lookup the posts on Account Closures etc over the past 4-6 weeks.

Correct, not as much automation and a bit more basic but it is free and if your trading manually it would work, as usual liquidity is the problem but if more betair users were trading betdaq then that may pick up ........... or maybe thats unbetfairs plan, so they can then switch of the exchange and just go sportsbook and reduce all the equipment and staff required to keep the exchange online.....?TallblokeUK wrote: ↑Thu Apr 01, 2021 10:23 amWhen this happened yesterday morning I thought about Betdaq, but didn't get round to it. Got a call from Betfair to say sorry for the outages this week and to explain the issues.
They are probably going to email customers this evening.
They also assured me that they are not looking to do any work in the coming period to protect the easter weekend markets and the Aintree grand national meeting. So you should be able to trade with confidence on during this period.
Just thought I'd let you know.
