Suggestion, don't eat the pie then
The think the T&C's are that you have to order the pie and down the first pint of Guinness as quickly as you can.
Me being a functional trading alcoholic that won't be any issue whatsoever
Thinking shall we all go Salt Bae after for an appertif?

For anyone who's been to these meetings before or knows the pub - is there an outside area?

I've been using Betfair's Python API for a while and I'm keen to meet some others, but I'm still avoiding most unmasked indoor contact. Would be keen for an outdoor drink if that's an option!

Going by my limited knowledge of geometry, there must be an area outside and surrounding the pub. ;)

No worries, thanks for organising! I'll hopefully join one of the next meetups.

Probably just as well. At London rates it would be an extra quid a pint to pay for the garden!

Amazing turnout last time and should be good with Betfair (premium + API team) and potentially BetConnect (founder + API team) also in attendance.
Hope it all goes well - looks a nice pub. See if you can take a group shot and post it.

How did the meet up go? Did many attend and anything useful gained from BetConnect?

Hey all,

I have a 1m dollar question for Pyhthon Geniuses :geek: :ugeek:

Is there a possibility to automate a `lay the draw` or overs strategy which generates up to 100 inplay selections every day using pyhton or betfairlightweight project? :?:
My selections come from a JSON file from inplayguru but couldnt integrate them into any existing bot yet , I can have the selections also on a xlsx/csv file.

Would be glad to know more or work with someone who can help with this.

Cheers.

The betcöde (nee flumine) project provides a framework to do the communications with betfair in which you write your own strategy code. Plus data collection and backtesting facilities. And when you're the author of your own stuff there really isn't anything you can't do. 100 simultaneous markets isn't a big deal.

If you're serious about going that way (and frankly LTD can easily be done in Guardian anyway) then you'll need to to learn python because it takes far too long to expect someone to do the setup and then train you in what to change and how to do it. I'd suggest you try to find a profit using Guardian first unless have big ideas about high frequency trading, then if you do OK it might be worth specialising and putting in the hard hours.

FYI I don't use the python stuff, mine is in C# because I didn't want to get tied into anyone else's development stream or their idea of structure anymore than I wanted to be tied to any software supplier. But decisions like that will depend on your long term objectives.

.... If your selections are in a excel then Guardian can use them. The user guide covers importing data.
