The courses on Codecademy are really easy to follow and very well presented.
Ditto courses on Udemy, personally I find it best to do something structured until the stabilisers can come off rather than pick and choose from here and there.

I haven't done a Python course but I transfered from VB6 to C# with a Udemy course. Lots of free stuff but I went for paid, wasn't much, about 20 quid I think. Doing one course a year on something really helps to keep the grey matter oiled keeps you moving forward. Good luck with whatever you find Leeds1919.

Some big sales on Udemy for all kinds of courses but the sale ends today (according to the email)

New meet-up date organised:

6pm Thursday 28th October, The Counting House (The Gallery Room)

https://www.the-counting-house.com/

Amazing turnout last time and should be good with Betfair (premium + API team) and potentially BetConnect (founder + API team) also in attendance.

Successfully timed for the middle of the Melbourne cup meeting. So it's a no from me.

Just tell Betfair they've made a right horlicks of the exchange this year. It's a shame compliance are not attending as we could ask for all sorts of ID before they attempted to order a beer.

£15.50 for a Pie ?

That’s 1/10th of my profit yesterday on the dogs. 😩
Property rent, fixtures and fittings, ingredients, utilities, wages, national insurance & pension contributions, business rates, public liability insurance, tax and shareholder handouts. I've no idea how they can charge so little. We don't even pay income tax so I think it's easy to get a distorted view of the cost of running a business especially in central London.

It comes with seasoned greens and red wine gravy but I'd expect chips as well. £9.75 sounds a lot for a sandwich as well.

Melbourne Cup meeting is always the first Tuesday in November, not the last Tuesday of October, so you have your weeks mixed up Peter, Melbourne Cup meeting week is 1st November - 7th November, so you are good to go.

I'll already be on Aussie time ready for the Derby that Saturday. I'm ready to go more than a week before the big day. So it's just bad timing for me, I'm not going to break that.

That would be fun. 30 botters gathering for a drink and one notices the API's gone down.

Probably suprisingly calm, I don't look at mine for days on end anyway, api goes down and up and it deals with it. And I wouldn't do anything it hadn't already choosen to do anyway so I just leave it to it. It's 2021 Derek, if we can get a wrinkly old man in "space", that's possible. ;)

Little bit of respect required. I have been automating strategy for years, probably longer than most on Betfair. As people like Gazuty will confirm so have Bet Angel users. It's just that I choose to get up in the middle of night as I still want to trade manually as well. It's still an important part of the overall mix for me.

I admire the dedication of changing sleep patterns. It isn't easy to do that and be 100% focused.

Do you still manage to get out on the bike?
