Im surprised that nobody has developed a nice comprehensive db
They have, and they make enough money from them to mean they don't have to run a software business dealing with customer support all day. But cost is the issue, the data you find is for personal use only, if you start selling it then the people making the effort to collate it will want their cut.

I've dabbled with the free version of https://www.betaminic.com/how-to-create ... in-builder 8-)
Not sure if that is what you were suggesting?

Hi

Really interesting thread.
I’ve tried modelling horse racing with excel and it gets slow when the file size increases. Also it s difficult to separate correlation from randomness and how accurate it my data.. etc etc

I’m at the point where I need to adapt or die.

The concept of selecting and testing each individual variable seems inspired.

Which language is best to learn to model properly?
How or where do you get good data?
Do people work alone or together?

Respect
