This is a basic Guardian automation file for use on all types of markets.

The purpose of this file is to be used as a raw template, its job is to put the selections into five custom ranking lists.

What are Custom Rankings?
Without Custom Ranking list, whenever you apply rules to a selection 'by order of favouritism' you are limited to just one type of sort order this could be the price, volume, SP etc which ever it is it needs to be selected first in your main settings area - this then means EVERY rule in EVERY market that is applied to a selection 'By Order of Favouritism' uses this same sort order.

By using Custom Ranking you get to specify how you want the selections sorted, and can then assign these to a Custom Ranking list (1-5), this allows you to apply your rules 'to the selection in Rank 'X' within a Custom Ranking list'

So you have full control over how your selections are sorted and can reference up to five different sort orders (custom ranking) to apply/trigger rules against.

Example Template
Getting back to this automation file, as I mentioned above this is purely a template that contains rules to put selections orders into Custom Ranking lists (which you can of course edit to suit your own needs), the example custom ranking lists I've created are;

Custom Ranking 1 - Ranks selections by their back price in descending order (reverse order so outsider is rank 1, second outsider rank 2 etc)
Custom Ranking 2 - Ranks selections by their SP
Custom Ranking 3 - Ranks selections by their lay price
Custom Ranking 4 - Ranks selections by their traded volume
Custom Ranking 5 - Ranks selections by a Stored Value named 'selectionsvwap' in ascending order (there order according to their VWAP with the lowest first)

You can then add your own existing back/lay rules etc to this file or copy these rules into your existing file,

Then if you wanted to place a bet on the selection with the 2nd highest traded volume you'd apply the rule to
By Rank; Custom Ranking 4
Rank 2

If you wanted to place a bet on the outsider in a market you'd apply the rule to
By Rank; Custom Ranking 1
Rank 1

How it works and using the Rules File
Once you have it imported into your Guardian the stake size along with any other aspects of this file can be edited very easily by clicking on "Edit Rules File".

I have also included some example rules which you can see in the image just to show how it works, these should be deleted before adding your own rules and using the file

Please refer to the 'Note' tab for each rule for more details and to understand how each rule works and how it may be connected to other rules within the file

**As with any automation bot always run in practice mode first to ensure everything is working fine, and repeat this each time you make any changes**

Downloading and Importing the Files
To use the file just click on the Custom Ranking Template.baf' link below and that will download it to your computer, then with guardian open on the "Automation" tab click "Import a Rules File" as shown in the image, once imported it will now appear in the pick list area just above, you can now apply it to any markets you have added into guardian.
