How is pace calculated ?

Hi Lads .
I have a question please,
im wondering how pace is calculated .i know all about front runners etc .
But how do the get the information to make the pace ,
Like do they kinda scrape the previous inrunning comments like held up , etc and produce a pace rating from that or how the hell is it done,
Im asking because ive always had to check out the previous runnings to be sure as ive never found a pace service i could totally trust ,

Not sure exactly how it is calculated but Inform Racing is reliable. Take a look at their site, they offer a partial explanation of how it is calculated along with a free daily racecard so you can get the feel of it
