Shockingly bad decision to send off Phillips for Barnsley. VAR fails again. The sooner we have live commentary from VAR the better. That would smarten them up.

Penalty as well that they never gave. FIFA are going to trial live comms on VAR decisions not sure when but they announced it a couple of months ago as I remember.

They should be able to do it. They're well paid and in any case should have robust processes to support making a decision that can be explained in real time. Look at rugby.... No difference..

Oh gee whizz. Owls score at the very end. Man, who as a neutral do you feel for here?

Deffo be an improvement at least people may understand the process a little more. They should be using live audio anyway to crack down on indiscipline of the players.

Are ELO ratings of football teams of much use for predicting match result? Or a waste of time?

Like with most things it's more a case of how you view and use them taking into consideration if there easily available everyone will have access to them. You could look for correlation between teams with a high ELO and goals scored over a large sample for example does a high ELO mean more goals on average?

I don't use them and have created my own goals per game rating which tells me how many goals I expect to see in a game between two teams on average then bounce off that whilst watching the game. Creating your own ratings is IMO the way forward.

Sevilla v Roma, just 5.7 for a goalless draw.

Just opened up all the markets myself and slightly surprised at the over/under prices.

Whilst it's a euro final Sevilla games average over 2.7 goals home and away (in the league). They weren't shy against Man U or Juve either. Looks like everyone is expecting Mourhino to park the bus then get another one and put it in front of the 1st one.

The OU markets stopped moving for 5 minutes to recalibrate so it was obviously too short.

Had a nibble at the money holding the price up on the 1.5 market for a few ticks nothing exciting happening on the pitch. Like watching a pre-season friendly

The behaviour of both, the Roma fans and Mourinho was despicable. That said, used appropriately, the ability to swear at people in multiple languages is one I'd love to have. :)

If I turned up to Wembley at 13:00 to watch a cup final I'd want to go home by 15:00.

Edit: In second thoughts I'd stay until the first goal.
