Slow week on the football, not sure what to think of England tonight, Italy aren't pulling up any trees since winning the Euros. 1st Group game and no one else in the group should bother England or Italy low scoring bore draw if I was to put myself out on a limb.
Gave me a chance to push on with my databases, models excel, python etc It's never ending but enjoyable
Premier League 22/23 thus far home and away goal distributions attached. Data doesn't half open up another world.

I admire your courage even thinking of dabbling on England.Michael5482 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 23, 2023 3:06 pmSlow week on the football, not sure what to think of England tonight, Italy aren't pulling up any trees since winning the Euros. 1st Group game and no one else in the group should bother England or Italy low scoring bore draw if I was to put myself out on a limb.

1. If you're a fan your judgement is going to be heavily affected by your desire for your team to win.
2. England throughout my life have had the ability to dismay more than delight. We've mostly been a team that is less than the sum of it's parts.
But still, I approach every England game at the moment with hope of glory. (See what I mean about judgement being affected by being a fan?

Quality players in that England 11 are (for me) Kane, Saka, Bellingham, Rice. The rest? Well it depends on whether they decide to "turn up". Last chance for Maguire I would say. Shaw I've never rated and Walker was a flying wing-back but isn't anymore. And Stones? Well which one are we going to get tonight? Limousine or car-crash?
As you can tell I am not remotely interested in this game.
But RIP Luca Vialli.

Looking good England, grew into the game nicely.
I wasn't paying much attention but the worst I've heard was when Trump visited the middle east, it might have been Kuwait or thereabouts. To even an untrained ear like mine, the orchestra was playing the wrong notes.
