A draw for Utd wouldn't be undeserved at all

Seems like Trent's head is already at Madrid, that's what the fans will say after the match

Overcooked numerous situations out of nothing and right after Slot praised his defensive progress

If Liverpool got the early goal (and they had chances) they'd of put Man U to the sword but fair play to Man U they weathered it, galvanised and got a decent point.

Trent and De Ligt should be chopped into spare parts to use for defenders that can defend.
Hard to call it 11v11, not the ref or anything just I thought Jones, Hojlund, Mazraoui were anonymous and Trent/De Ligt would be better off being replaced by nobody and it would have improved their teams.

He's 26, he should know how to defend by now not progress! Apathetic performance in my view, reminded me of Torres when his head had been turned.

I reckon he'll get a mountain of abuse on socials which may help him make his decision a bit quicker

But you never know with these big fixtures, learned my lessons long ago with what to expect :D

They did this to City and pulled off so many shock wins when you least expected them to!

It's pretty clear now what TAA's qualities and weaknesses are. The best strategy for a team with Trent is not to allow attacks down the right or leave Trent to defend the back post from attacks down the left. He doesn't get defending and never will. Brighton's Mitoma turned him inside out. Utd targeted him and it worked.
But attacking and servicing forwards or dead-ball situations he's brilliant.
His right foot is a wand. If Real can protect him defensively or occupy opponents with other threats Real could be a good move for him.

NGL with all due respect I find your takes baffling at times but it's hard to defend Trent after that, to completely switch off as the vice captain of the club against the biggest rivals at Anfield in a title charge is pretty much indefensible. He has undone so much great work with this one game, can't imagine the backlash if this continues and derails the title charge.

But yet again it has completely hijacked the story of the match on Sky and everywhere leaving United with zero credit for their good performance, which they can still use as a turning point... while their own treatment of Zirkzee recently has been shambolic as well, not sure why he's suddenly the new scapegoat for the fans.

Don't think Slot has covered himself in glory either by giving the squad a few days off before this match, that has to be a big mistake as well, or even worse bringing on Darwin so early in his state, WTF was that move?!? He nearly got sent off right away!

But yeah the club is at a crossroads moment, with Trent, do they build a future with him as the next captain or not... personally don't feel he's worth the 300k p/w and seems too cocky and complacent to be the captain, but that may be the only incentive left for him since he's won everything already, to try and win it all again as captain. But big Virg has so much aura and he's the perfect captain for me with his elite mentality that he can actually back up with elite consistency, hopefully he keeps going for many years.

Idk what's best anymore but I have faith in the people in charge to make the right decision... would love for Trent to stay but not on his terms (wages + captaincy)

More news in the Rory Campbell saga.

https://www.thetimes.com/article/287473 ... 301c0474f2

If it goes to the serious fraud office, it might help Rory Campbell, as it would be easy enough to show that the Asian bookies refused to honour the requested withdrawals "allegedly" made by the syndicate. If that turns out, not to be the case, then it'll be a question of how "legal" the syndicate documents were when signed/agreed upon by all parties.

It'll likely drag on for years and the lawyers will be ones who'll "win the most" from the whole debacle.

It's important to establish where the £5 million has gone. The investors suspect he spent it on property and poker and, if so, It's gonna cost his family a few more £Million yet, to set things straight and keep him out of prison.

Aha! The issue with Trent is we EXPECT him to be reliable right back. (Difficult). AND be a supplier of killer passes nto the forwards AND chuck in a few dead-ball winners.
And also he isn't a captain. Dunno who is after VVD.TAA's quality in that respect is he is very calm. Perhaps this is why he's a crap defender. Defending is sheer panic.

Referees are now to gabble away to the crowd for 5 minutes explaining VAR decisions on the pitch. Gonna be some chaotic moments.

"Original decision: No penalty. On review, defender's arm was in a natural position, but contact with the ball was deemed to be longer than 'fleeting'. New decision: Penalty. Re-start with penalty to attacking team."

Clowns.

All a bit NFL for me, every time something goes wrong or they don't get it right their answer is let's have more VAR.

It's all getting beyond a joke you have staff staff now with iPads replying everything in real time then managers going for and berating the 4th official, Slott did it last night.

I was at the Spurs game last night - waited ages for Solanke to be judged fractionally offside by the referee announcing it live over the mike
