In bocca al lupo 👍

You should learn Spanish instead, then you'll have all the South American footy covered too. And it's just a short hop from there to knowing Italian.

Could be worse, you could try to learn Chinese - there are more than half a dozen different dialects depending on the region of the country of you are in and then each of those have dozens more sub dialects

I took Spanish lessons just before lockdown and I've forgotten most of it!

Like you say you got to be using it or its a waste of time.
