What causes the extreme volatility in FA Cup matches pre-match? I know they say it's the FA Cup, anything can happen but I didn't think they meant on Betfair?
Lineup uncertainty, early prices can be overly optimistic

Small squads, busy schedules, covid etc. Much can potentially change by the time the match comes around

Don't normally trade Liverpool games but couldn't resist it after seeing that lineup

Should trade something you know so well!

I probably trade Liverpool the most.

I used to trade most Liverpool games but I couldn't really enjoy the match and I learned very quickly that a little knowledge doesn't always lead to profits :)

I'm the total opposite, I don't think I've ever traded Liverpool, if I have it's a matter of once or twice and they were probably more straight bets for some reason

I actually think trading or specializing your own team is a great opportunity to try and get over some important biases.

That's always the issue but you can do some preoff trading and still enjoy the match in peace, I think that's a good balance overall for your team.

Yeah that's probably the best plan. I'll trade team news but rarely in play.

I've dabbled too many times with LFC and Spurs. And been stung more often than not. Emotion, loyalty have no place in the betting arena.
Let's face it. You aren't a fan of a particular club because they always win. Your attachment is passion and is illogical. Your carefully crafted betting modus operandi goes out of the window, because "you know" your team will win through....until the Doh! moment.

Hehe, you absolutely will get stung and I got it wrong on occasion as well but it's a good learning experience as the lessons feel more intimate and familiar than usual : viewtopic.php?p=204465#p204465

Btw I'm starting to really like Tyler Morton the more I see him play, he seems to have gained a few yards of pace since last match. There could be a real player there!

No football between 20:15 and 07:30 tomorrow!!
If you thought that was bad Derek just wait for Monday, we'll barely have any matches to trade for weeks. And with no football we'll be bored out of our minds as well.

Only one man could save us then... I just pray he sees the signal in time!

How's he gonna save us when there're no matches for his tips?
I told you the batsignal would work, not going to say I told you so but I definitely did #toldyouso

I just laid the Man U unders market knowing it would be void if the goal was disallowed.
