Fabinho injured and Liverpool's price comes in.. wasn't expecting that!
Testing this for first time. Only done 9 minutes worth but city scored in 9th minute.
Plots minute of game, actual score to churn out % of historical results at half time and full time.

Reason from the VAR ref was that it bounced off his thigh. Sky commentator disagrees with the reasoning but I don't care - I had a back bet on the draw at the time.Euler wrote: ↑Sat Jan 30, 2021 8:23 pmHow is this not a handball?

My heart sunk when the Southhampton goal was ruled offside but at least VAR delayed the sinking feeling for 60 seconds.
Apparently, if the offside guy was wearing shorter sleeves it might have been a goal! I find it quite mind-boggling how the end of a sleeve can be used to determine offside. Does the FA specify how long sleeves should be? Don't bigger guys with XXXL shirts need longer sleeves? It should be where the shoulder meets the arm.
Same thought occured to me. How far do you go with the high definition subjective judgement. Cameras that accurately define the distortion of a ball? A reference table that accounts for the differing physiques of individual footballers? Perhaps, cgi profiling of every player before a game? It's become bonkers. We used to banter about referee decisions, now we're into high tech and pixels. The late Julian Wilson said back in the 1980s, if modern technology can determine the winner in a photo that looks like a dead heat, then we can do without modern technology.greenmark wrote: ↑Sat Jan 30, 2021 11:21 pmSame thought occured to me. Also, there was a 2nd phase. ie: The keeper saved the shot, then a new phase begins. = goal.
The offside rule remains, and will always remain, a controversial one to interpret.
FWIW, in the my Xg league table I've marked it down as 1-1 draw and adjusted it accordingly.
