I remember that match in 86 so well. I've never forgiven him for that handball!

When I met Peter Shilton that was the first thing I asked him about.

yeah, he was an amazing player. as a scot (ooo -we are in a competition again :)) he always thrilled, but never at our expense.

i do rmbr going to a fancy dress affair back in the late 80's and of course, it was a madonna party, you can only imagine how many argentine shirts were on display that night! more said about maradonna's effect on general psyche than the need to rip the p!ss out of madge!

Keeping a clean sheet is a priority for any GK/Defence, he seems to take it too personally. Add in the mix his England place in under threat as we get close to the Euro 20/21 on the 11 June, he might not even be the Everton No.1 towards the end the of the season.

personally I think Pickford thinks he’s a better ‘keeper that what he is, to add to that I don’t think there’s anyone in the England side that stands out,

I watched a re run of Arg v Eng SF Mexico ‘86 t’other night & throughout the side from Shilton to Lineker all of ‘em absolutely superb on a shite pitch, don’t think they would’ve beaten W. Germany in the final that year but who knows?

my missus met Bobby Charlton years ago at one of his soccer schools, she could have & should have played for England had it not been for one thing or another

Don't see why.

She's already refereed games in Ligue 1 and done pretty well. I think there's a female ref that has taken charge of some games in the Bundesliga and she was pretty decent too.
