Where are those figures from chief?. The stuff i've seen were way below that.
European Super League
IMHO the pandemic only accelerated their endgame agendas, hence the apparent clumsiness.
Let's be real for a moment, the American "franchise system" has been in place for the longest time and their big four leagues that we don't really care about (MLB, NHL, NBA, NFL) all compete for attention, they're more franchises than clubs and their definition of sport is very different. That's how they picked the teams for the Super League, only the most marketable franchises/brands.
So I think these are inevitable battles for UK clubs, working-class or socialist values like Liverpool has are ultimately incompatible with what a top competitive modern club should look like, a big compromise is eventually needed.
UK fans/pundits etc have a lot of power and momentum right now, would be a real shame to waste it, may not get another opportunity later down the line to steer football into the right directions. I don't why they can't borrow the best few things from American leagues (like salary caps) and other football leagues (like 50+1 rule) and so on.

Bayern seem to have got things right.Kai wrote: ↑Thu Apr 22, 2021 5:11 pmIMHO the pandemic only accelerated their endgame agendas, hence the apparent clumsiness.

Strange that Madrid & Barca were part of the ESL plan that was robbing football from it's fans... I wonder if "socios" are fans & if so did they vote to join.

That's actually very impressive how quickly Bayern grew its brand across Asia and North America. Based on this I guess the 50+1 rule protects the top clubs since no big investors are really allowed to come in and compete with Bayern right away, would take a very long time, besides the Red Bull loophole model that Bundesliga fans hate with a passion.
Regarding socios, it appears they can be easily bought with political promises of purchasing top players, looks a bigger circus than I thought, they seem to have no real power after the election. Perez is really starting to sound like a cartoon villain now, would be hilarious if Liverpool end up going to CL semis because of this.
Not seen Klopp's presser yet but looks like he is backing the owners and trying to repair the fractured relationship.

Do you actually follow European football Kai??
I really don't know just what crime the "godfathers" of European football would have to commit to be thrown out of the competition. They haven't almost won double the number of European Cup/CL wins to the next nearest team merely because of what they do on the pitch you know so forget Liverpool in the semis
Yeah, the socios have no say after a President is elected (so it says) but I have to wonder considering this has been going on since the 90s, if just like the promise of new signings at election time this was also brought up on the agenda... big move by the presidents of Madrid/Barca which could be there downfall. My next Google search will be when is election time for the Spanish giants.
and drag that open mind away from LFC for two minutes and lay Man City at 6/4 to win it.....you're not finding better value than laying a genuine minimum 3/1 chance at 6/4 very often, listen to Carl for once and fill your boots

Missed your chance for easy money, Sunday night / Monday morning was the time to get involved. City went from 2.5 ish out to near 4 and came back in to their current price of 2.50! Nice trade for anyone else who got involved.
I should have focused a bit more on PSG though, they came into 2.26ish before shooting back out past 4, all of this without a ball even being kicked!
