I've written some code to find the minute of a match where a Poisson distribution finds a 50% chance of a goal being scored. Whatever figures I input the results approximate to: game length / expected goals * 0.7 for the first goal; 1.7 for the second; 2.7 for the third, and so on.

It seems to make sense but is that what you'd expect?

Does a mathemagician count Derek?! If not, then I'll get me coat.

But if I'm not mistaken I think I've seen Leonhard Euler post on this board on occasion, according to my calculations he should reply to your query eventually.
