Just looked at the England v Germany betting. Wasn't expecting England to be favourite!
Neither wss I. I was expecting the Germans to be favourite by some margin...

Always feels a bit odd to the routine the first day after the group stages end

I think it's due in part to the 'Wembley' factor, especially with more fans there.

For me, the shock of no football quickly turned to relief when I realised I've got other things to catch up on. :)

My gut tells me that if we try to sit back and counter-attack, we're in trouble.
I say use the youth of the side to counteract the experience of Germany.
Run 'em ragged. We've got the energy, exploit it.
Nothing more uncomfortable for an ageing player than an opponent that has boundless energy, aggression and talent to boot.

Southgate to sign a contract extension after the Euro's regardless of how England do in the next few weeks, taking him up to the next Euro's in 2024 :?

FA Chief Exec Mark Bullingham:

"Am I enjoying the football? Yes, I am,” he said. “Gareth has done a brilliant job, finishing top of the group, really solid defence, and he’s done really well on and off the pitch, in every aspect. Our support is unwavering. 100 per cent unwavering. Unwavering support. We are 100 per cent behind Gareth. He knows how we feel about him. We feel he is brilliant, both on and off the pitch. We want him to carry on. He’s doing a great job. Regardless of Tuesday. Absolutely. Gareth knows exactly how we feel about him. He knows that we think he’s doing a great job and we’d like him to carry on."

You'd be forgiven for thinking that quote is what the North Korean FA Chief would say if Kim Jong-Un was coach!

Southgate is tailormade for England.....a failure at club level, so they know he won't leave.

He's a 'Yes Man' in public circles, and he's also one of those wokies......that prefers to be politically correct above all else

Wales are looking quite aggressive. I'm liking this. Come on Cymru!

Moore's yellow card is ridiculous.

Sorry for Wales. 10 minutes of flair and then dominated.
Bugger!

His departure made all the difference. ;) The Danes were celebrating as though they really needed that fourth goal!

I really don't like the way VAR is developing. It's a charter for corruption. But if I was part of that corruption, I'd be an advocate.
