This forum should be a free exchange of ideas (good and bad) don't think anyone should be hammering anyone for anything here.

I don't think he's really betting, just paper trading. It's bad enough using a Martingale but applying a roulette staking plan to odds-against soccer!!!
And that is totally legit for me - don't see why anyone should have a problem

A free exchange of ideas good and bad :D

I agree with the first part of the sentence, but not hammering somebody with an idea as crazy as the Martingale? That's what the forum is for, to not only give an opinion that an idea's bad, but to give an indication of exactly how bad it is. :)

To a point I agree, but I've seen folk go completely over the top with the abuse when someone posts a bad idea, like a Martin Gale. It turns off newbies and makes us look cliquey

I wonder which bookie lays apparently-unpriced, ever-increasing, multi-thousand-pound bets on unheard-of teams in half-known leagues.

I could have rejected the post as a first poster.

I did consider it, but thought if I don't publish they may never know how unrealistic it is.

If you're placing imaginary bets you only need an imaginary bookie. :)
