How would you know if someone was profitable by following their Twitter feed?
maybe because it records live trades and shows p&l , or even that is not enough, you have to go directly to his house to make sure if he is profitable :D
I wouldnt have much faith in what folks post online regarding profitability. Any photo or video can be edited to show anything. Most are trying to sell something at the end of the day

It's a strange phenomenon, you don't find many plumbers on Twitter posting big invoices. Everyone I know personally who does well just quietly get on with the job so it's either sales or ego and I don't have the time for either.

Tend to agree although there will be the odd successful one who is happy to share P/L or their tips. It's very hard to confirm who is profitable though, I recently met a successful trader who told me he has had losing quarters in the past, so seeing the odd daily P+L doesn't say much by itself. Personally I play down my profits if anyone asks

I'm not sure I would discover Betfair if one of CB's videos didn't somehow pop up on my Youtube to introduce the concept, during my very short betting phase.

That's why I don't usually mind people promoting BF stuff and bringing in some much needed liquidity, as long as it's not an outright scam they do provide some value to someone out there.

No real negativity intended in any of my comments or memes etc, all just light-hearted stuff, even if it can at times be construed differently, which I rarely realize at first!

I've ever seen an expert in any other subject using income as credentials. I'd always choose someone with peer and industry respect over the latest Jack the lad.

But the best thing to do is make real world connections, it's far more rewarding in every way.

Beware of anybody sharing P&Ls, particularly if just a few dozen results. With natural variance I could demonstrate the same with coin tosses if I could pick and choose what period to show.

Ask them to share their all-time Betfair P&L. Even then, there's nothing to say that the method they are demonstrating is the same method that is driving their profit. Ask yourself why they are sharing their method if it's profitable?!

Caan Berry, oh the name does ring
Like a sweet melody, a song to sing
In the world of racing, he reigns supreme
A master of the trade, a true racing dream

He strides with poise, a graceful gait
In his hand, a tool to seal his fate
A master of the betting game
He knows the odds, the way to fame

With a keen eye and a steady hand
He scans the track, like a seer in command
His mind sharp, his wits alert
He knows the secrets, the tricks to convert

The crowds they cheer, as he takes his stand
With his confident stride, and a wave of his hand
He knows his craft, like the back of his palm

Caan Berry, a name to remember
A master of the trade, a true contender
In the world of horse racing, he reigns supreme
His skill and knowledge, a racer's dream

With focus and precision, he studies the form
To find the best bet and weather the storm
His insights and expertise, unmatched by many
A true professional, his dedication is plenty

He watches the horses, their every move
Their strengths and weaknesses, he aims to prove
His intuition and experience, a winning combination
A champion in his own right, he's a horse racing sensation

Caan Berry, a man of passion and drive
With each race, he continues to strive
To push the boundaries and reach new heights
A true inspiration, his legacy shines bright.

Caan Berry, the name echoes far
A master of racing, a shining star
In the world of betting, he's second to none
A true icon, for years to come.

Bit of a bizzare thread!

Who knew this topic would bring about polarized opinions

Many a shot was fired, in multiple directions, I think one randomly whizzed past my ear and somehow hit alexmr2 (?!), let's just hope nobody was gravely wounded as a result of people firing blanks!

But jokes aside, I will say this when it comes to influencers in general, good or bad, by all means learn what you can from others but make sure your journey is your own 👈
