Before opening any in-play trade in a match odds football market one of the biggest questions you might have and want to know is where the home, away and draw odds would move to if a goal was scored?
Or perhaps you already have an open position and want to pitch your exit trade around the price in anticipation of a goal.

Using a combination of a simple rules file and stored values you can display all this on your ladder screen as shown in the image below

Ladder In-Play.JPG

As you can see if Sheff Utd scored now their odds would reform around 1.26, West Ham’s would drift to around 13.5 and the draw price would drift out to around 6.2
If West Ham were to score there odds would shorten to around 1.93, Sheff Utd would drift to around 3.95 and the draw odds wouldn’t move more than a few ticks and reform around 3.6

To display the predicted scores for a match on your ladder screen is very easy, all you need to do is download and import the three ready-made files from the bottom of this post into your Bet Angel.

Display Predicted Odds After a Goal – this is a ladder settings file and needs to be imported into your ladder settings area

Ladder Import.JPG

Goal Odds Predictor (H) – this is a basic rules file and needs to be applied to the home team +1 market in Guardian
Goal Odds Predictor (A) – identical to the above rule but needs to be stored to the away team +1 market in Guardian
These two files need to be imported into Guardian

In the image below I’ve added 5 fixtures into Guardian, these are the match odds market, and the home team +1 and away team +1 for each of the 5 fixtures

Guardian 1.JPG

For example, the first fixture is Benfica Vs Alves
The Goal Odds Predictor (A) file is applied to Alves +1 market (because Alves are the away team)
The Goal Odds Predictor (H) file is applied to Benfica +1 market (because Benfica are the home team)

And that’s it, the automation files applied to the markets will trigger every 5 seconds throughout the match and continually update the predicted prices displayed above your ladders even as the odds decay over time.
To provide more accurate results I’ve included a condition that there must be greater than £1000 traded volume on the +1 market, so if you don’t see any values on your ladder then it will be because this condition has not yet been satisfied.

Here is an example from the Sheff Utd Vs West Ham match, the first screenshot was taken just as the market suspended for a goal, note the predicted prices. In the second image is where the market reformed

How it Works

As you can see above the method above works using a simple trick and that is to look at the +1 markets, providing there is enough liquidity in them (So this won't work on some minor leagues and fixtures) these are handicap markets so are showing you how the prices will look if either team scores then next goal, so providing there is enough liquidity in them they give a very close indicator of where the main match odds market will shift too after a goal.

In the image below the you can see above the first ladder from the Sheff Utd V West Ham Match Odds market the predictions for either a home or away goal, look closely at the prices if there was a 'Home Goal' scored next.
Then look at the market highlighted in Guardian, this is the Sheff Utd V West Ham, Sheff Utd +1 market (so is effectivly priced as the home team Sheff Utd having a goal lead) - and this is where the files above retrieve the infomation from to display above your ladders.
