What annoys me more than anything is we now live in a world where you can't criticise anybody unless they're a straight white male. If you criticise Osaka you're automatically dismissive of mental health issues, a nailed on sexist and probably a bit of a racist too (I'm sure that will raise its head in the coming weeks). Criticise a female football pundit and you're sexist (even though most of them are as crap as the blokes), criticise a black pundit and you're racist ( I love watching Micah Richards, but he's a crap pundit). TV companies are constantly saying give us your thoughts using the hashtag xxx but when anybody criticise a pundit its ignored.
All I'm really saying is that if she claims to be pulling out due to mental health problems I'd give her the benefit of the doubt, if there was any. She could be using it to her advantage or it could be genuine, perhaps the pressure of the French Open is greater on her than any other grand slam, or maybe just coincidence. Either way, it's very sad that a player has to pull out for media pressure and I think the WTA have shot themselves in the foot in the way they've handled it.

On the other note, if you have valid criticism of her and you're called a racist, sexist or mentalist (I've just looked up the word :) ), those comments and people should be dismissed.

I've just got that "At least one comment has been posted that you may wish to review" page. I reviewed it - it was my own!

Always liked her as a player so hope you're right, would be a shame for her otherwise.

Olympics not really that surprising but guess Wimbledon is due to him wanting time to mentally recover from that shock defeat in Paris
Unless there's a recent injury I'm not aware of?

He had a slight issue with his ankle at the French but nothing major. He said 2 weeks just isn't enough time for his body to recover.

Not a complete surprise, even in normal times he didn't always play a warm up to Wimbledon because there wasn't enough recovery time.

Wasn't trading it but the Giorgi V Pliskova match has been a great watch (and would of been just as good to trade)

Hi not sure if this is the right place to ask but when you place a trade on the ladder
In tennis matches on a player why does the other players ladder not show any money

I guess its a ripple effect, most people focus on the favourite and it makes more sense for them to lay the favourite rather than back the underdog if there is more liquidity on the favourite.
You can turn "show virtual bets" on if you want to see the price on the underdog.
