Seed value calibration

I've noticed in the tennis trader app which I've been using for a few months that the odds were always slightly out. I've changed the calibrate with a seed value of from 0.65 to 0.6 and now it seems to be nailed on accurate

Can someone explain what this value is, how to use it or why I would need to change it in different circumstances?

The seed value is the same as % of a player winning point on serve so these values effect the pricing model used by Tennis Trader; they allow you to adjust the pricing model to bias towards one player or the other and manually control the dominance of one tennis player over the other for a match.

When I did my own VBA simulator (which was more of an exercise than a trading tool) I found 60% serves or thereabouts produced odds closest to the actual exchange prices.

got it thanks, so I maybe need to tweak it up a bit for likes of Opelka and Raonic. Will have a play with it

If player A wins service point 65% and player B 59%

Do I change the calibration tool to fixed values and put 0.65 and 0.59 in? I have tried a few times and looks a little off.

Does anyone have any ideas if that is correct.

Thanks

Jason
