Slightly kicking myself on this one, wanted to lay Medvedev and was just waiting for him to serve out his current game so I could get on a few ticks lower - he lost that service game, then the set after Hurk held his serve, then then next set and the match!

It wasn't so much losing. In tennis terms he's ancient. It was the nets and longs and wides. The only thing that persisted was the ability to dig out an ace. But there were not enough. His press conference may explain it all.

manner of defeat disappointing but he was 20-25 pre tournament, hardly a massive surprise
