Unbelievable he's not at least going to be in the SF or final
manner of defeat disappointing but he was 20-25 pre tournament, hardly a massive surprise
I would like a tennis person to explain why Fed couldn't deal with Hurkacz.
In his press conference Fed seems to be saying its just WIP.
Sorry Roger, you were crap. If thats your best, give up before you embarass yourself further.
But still, the limousine of tennis. Sampras - Federer - next ????

Don't need a tennis person to explain what happened.

Federer is pushing 40, he's had two knee operations and has played very little tennis over the past 18 months. Add to that he wasn't playing some wild card ranked 200 in the world but a top 20 player who's 15 years his junior. It was never going to be easy, that's why he wasn't a sub 1.10 shot before the match started. I think Federer deserves massive credit, he could easily have hung up his racket after the operations but he still had the hunger and desire to compete.

Amazed he has continued for so long, but that record of 20 grand slams is no doubt in his mind.

No idea how Sabalenka pulled that off but well done to her for turning it around

I watch a fully weighted green go from looking very good to nearly being wiped out in a matter of minutes :(

I've never had much success at the semi-finals. I've always wondered if it's just me or whether it's a general characteristic of the markets.

Shapalovolovopovalov has done a good job to put Djokovic on the back foot here.

It's amazing how many of these guys beat themselves in this situation

I guess that's lack of experience. Goes from serving for the set to serving to stay in it! Then ends the TB on a double fault.

Exeperienced players seem to play on those nerves.

I still think Djokovic is there for the taking but don't see Shapovalov or Berrettini as the men to do it.

Mark of a champion, win without having to play your A game.
