Kyrgios is a far better player than his ranking suggests. But he has decided that infamy is more profitable than grafting and being the best you can be.

It's obviously tactical as well. Trying to stop the opponent playing his game or being settled. I guess it's a form or winning ugly.

Mcenroe has confessed that his antics were partly to pump himself up but also to disrupt the opponent.
The big difference is Kyrgios is nowhere near a title. And Mcenroe deployed it against the likes of Connors and Borg, in extremis.
Kyrgios has everything, serve, ground shots, athleticism. It's all just been squandered. Such a shame.

Never realised he's never used a coach!

Can't see many queuing up for the role now if he ever decided to change his mind

Did you already have a lay on Kyrgios before, or just straight backed when he went down?

Great watch! Some shocking line calls though.

Do line judges have a union?! Was proven during the pandemic that they're obsolete. The technology was used last year to call the lines and it sped the game up and done away with challenges. Backwards step imo.

Sinner v Alcaraz is a decent match to trade. Love those tie breaks when the outsider is 2 sets up.

Both are being touted as the future of men's tennis. I think I might switch off in that case.
