Lol unfortunately not - TPD doesnt cover Limerick. Im still working on final automation rules but I havent managed to capture a large winner as yet.

Think the next question would be - at what price would that horse wouldve been at WHEN the bot picks it up

[ Check out https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a6AnwIfgmBs . This is the 4th race at Gulfstream Park on 16 Dec 2021. This view is great because it overlays the TPD data on top of the actual runners. Watch the TPD overlay compared to the actual runner behaviour. Essentially, these horses are outside the published typical positional margin of error (MoE), which is 1.5m... but the raw data also shows a calculated velocity MoE, as 7 was clearly gaining on 2 at the end, but the raw data shows 7 as travelling marginally slower, both for momentary velocity and velocity over last 10 seconds. As Peter has said, you'll never get mm accuracy and TPD is overall a great tool....BUT, please go in with your eyes fully open. If you don't allow for errors in positioning and velocity, you will eventually get caught out, especially if you're sniping.

Thanks for posting that. Yes its as clear as day there is a problem with that particular race.
Not sure who you are talking to at TPD but I found George Swindells really helpful when I was setting mine up (on my own software not BA)

Good luck with this, hope you crack it. Some of the folk on the Betfairlightweight slack group are having a lot of success, ive still got an open mind for now

Just an update on all this. I still don't have any answers from TPD (possibly the holidays), but I'm not giving up. I think there are a number of people who will benefit by knowing what's happening.

Thanks Dallas! I will give them a try. I'm quite keen to implement TPD data into my betangel automation, as i feel this could really be a game changer.

Can't remember if I set it to do that, but if I didn't you can either set BA to always connect to TPD in your main settings area
Or just add a 'Connect Race to TPD' rule to the automation file

Hi Dallas or anybody who can help.......

I am using your (Dallas's) templates to get started on using automation with TPD. I have traded hundreds of races using TPD manually and although I have tried, I have traded none at all with automation. Simply nothing happens at all. I should say I do simpler automated stuff without TPD and it works for me.

I've got to get down to absolute basics now or give up. Sorry if any of this is obvious and (yes) I have seen much commentary on this subject but:-

As I understand it, more than one automation file can be used on one market. Another instance of Bet Angel would have to be opened. Is that the only way to run two automations on one market? I really really need to know the answer to this!

Is the only other way to copy the rules from one file to the other and have a bumper combined rules file on one market? This is the way I need to go unless there is any other way in Guardian of putting two rules files on the one market but to be honest I am definitely not using additional instances to achieve this in the long run.

I am only asking as I need 'Speed Position & Distance' to use the TPD metrics in automation so where then do I put my own rules file/ bot? That is why I'm asking these most basic of questions about two rules files on one market.

At the moment neither of the above two methods works at all so manual may be the way for me but one last try..........

You can apply up to 5 automation files per instance of Bet Angel, next to the apply rules file link on the Guardian ribbon just select from the 'Rules 1-5' pick list
ie, Apply your automation file as 'Rules 1', then apply the 'Speed Distance, Position automation file as 'Rules2'

To enable the additional rules columns in your Guardian market list so you can see what rules are applied to each market and select/deselect them for individual markets go onto the 'List' tab and using the 'Column Chooser' select Automation Rules 2-5' from the pop up menu
