Bet Angel V1.58 and above now includes integration of live GPS data from Total Performance Data (TPD).

At selected UK and US race course TPD has deployed the latest GPS / GNSS technology at to provide real-time horse racing tracking and telemetry including horses positions, speed, stride frequency and much more. This information arrives on your screen in Bet Angel within 200ms of leaving the transponder in the horses saddle, this is then updated as often as 5 times per second (200ms) depending on your subscription level to TPD.

This gives you the most update information available to base your trading decisions on, and a big advantage over relying on delayed TV pics ie Betfair live video which are typically several seconds behind.

The data from TPD is picked up in Bet Angel using 'Stored values' which are part of it's Advanced Automation tool, once the data is in a stored value it can then be used to trigger your fully automated and servant bets/alerts, or if you are a manual trader the same stored values can also be passed to and displayed on your one-click and ladder trading screens, your Guardian screen or a coupon/watch list.

The type of data you want to use/see from Total Performance Data is of course up to you but to help anyone new to Bet Angel or its Advanced Automation tool below I've put together a simple automation file with a Stored Value rule to store ALL the data available from TPD as individual Stored Values all of which get updated each time you refresh you the market.

Using the File
Once you've downloaded and imported the file (as shown in the steps below) you can then copy the rule to your own automation files and add conditions to your existing rules or ones you are in the process of creating to test against any of the Stored Values of TPD information you need.

Alternatively you can use the file just to pass the stored values to other areas of Bet Angel and display them directly on your main trading screen.

Step 1
Download the following rules file
Total Performance Data.baf

Step 2
Import it into Guardian (click the green 'G' icon) and apply to your days racing markets

Or import it into your Servant Manager (click the bellboy icon) and use it as a safety servant which will activate it for you each time you open a market on your ladder/one-click screens

Step 3
To display the Stored Values of the TPD data on your ladder trading screen add the names of the Stored Values you want displaying in the Additional Information area of the ladder settings editor
https://www.betangel.com/user-guide/add ... ation.html

To display TPD data on your One-Click trading screen create a custom column and enter the names of the Stored Values you want displaying
https://www.betangel.com/user-guide/custom_columns.html

To display TPD data on your Guardian screen create a custom column and enter the names of the Stored Values you want displaying
https://www.betangel.com/user-guide/gua ... lumns.html

To display TPD data in a Coupon/Watchlist create a custom column and enter the names of the Stored Values you want displaying
https://www.betangel.com/user-guide/cou ... lumns.html

Which Stored Values Names do you need to Enter
Below is a list of all the different types of data which is retrieved from Total Performance Data and put into a stored value, and on the right of each is the Stored Value name I've used for that piece of data

Total Performance Data about Selections
Speed (m/s) - speed
Race Leaders Speed at this Selections Location - leaders_speed
Par Speed of Course at this Selections Location - course_par_speed
Stride Frequency - stride_freq
Race Leaders Stride Frequency at this Selections Location - leaders_stride_freq
Par Stride Freq of Course at this Selections Location - course_par_stride_freq
Distance to Finishe (meters) - distance_to_finish
Percentage of Race Distance Left to Run - percentage_remaining
Position in Race - position
Distance Behind the Leader (meters) - distance_behind_leader
Latitude - latitude
Longitude - longitude

Total Performance Data about the Market
Distance of Race (meters) - total_distance
Distance to Finish (meters) - distance_to_finish
Percentage of Race Left to Run - percentage_to_run
Time the Race Has Been Running (secs) - time_elapsed

Therefore if you wanted to display the stride frequency for each selection in a custom column you'd configure it us as shown in the image below

Or if you wanted to display data about the market on the ladder screen for example the time the race has been running you'd configure it as shown in the next image
