I've been testing TPD across many races in the last few days on two separate laptops simultaneously.

Occasionally a market connects to TPD as normal according to the log, but no TPD data is supplied at all for the duration of that race. Oddly while sometimes this happens on both my open versions of Bet Angel, sometimes this happens on just one and not the other, even if they are running the exact same rules file. So far it's always been a US race where I've had this problem, but it's not just Par data missing, it's everything.

On every occasion it confirms TPD connected as normal in the log and there is never any mention of disconnection from TPD in the log. It's like it connects but then no data flows. I'm sure there was no issue with my internet connection and nothing in my rules file that is telling it not to flow data.

I was just wondering if this is an issue others are experiencing?

A few examples of markets where I've had this problem today are:
Sam Houston race 1 00:55
Gulfstream Park race 10 22:14
Gulfstream Park race 6 20:05

An example of a log from Sam Houston R1 is below::

And Sam Houston R7 03:43 there was no data until 26 secs after race turned in-play. Interested to know if there was a TPD data issue or whether the problem might be at my end.

Giving up now, it's well past my bedtime! :ugeek:

Try running the rule without the 'Race info update' condition on the Speed data rule

It maybe that the data coming from the US isn't arriving fast enough to satisfy that condition, and/or your own connection may not be delivering it to you fast enough 100% of the time

All races today have been fine until Gulfstream Race 6 19:35 which again connected but produced no data. I changed the rule mid-race to remove the 'race info update' condition and the speed data began to flow but position data did not.

Again Gulfstream race 8 20:37. This time I ran more data streams and when removing the 'race info update' condition I found 'speed' and 'stride' data flowed but everything else reported as 0.

I have noticed a possible pattern, it seems to be often (although not always) an issue when the race is being run on the turf tracks.

Can confirm. I'm seeing the same thing. I just set an automation for Sam Houston for the first time and I connected and received a stream, but it was useless, e.g., distance remaining never changed, but speeds for all runners showed as 0.15, 0.17, etc. There's clearly something wrong.

I don't review my automation logs every single race, and many of my automations have rules that only fire under rare circumstances, so I wonder if perhaps this has been happening more than I know, with me writing it off as the rule conditions just not being met. The only reason I caught this is that I was doing manual review since it's my first automation with Sam Houston. I'm going to go back and review other races now to see if there is a pattern here.

I have to say, I'm really on the fence about TPD. This could be a really useful service, but it seems terribly unreliable. I've had to write some crazy rules just to account for their inaccuracies (and I'm NOT talking about expected margins of error... I'm talking about flat out wrong information). I've also been terribly disappointed in their transparency. They have yet to come back to me with any meaningful explanations about why their data is sometimes wildly wrong. When I asked for audit records, they flatly refused and told me that they only provide that to their biggest clients (think large corporates) and that I'd just have to trust them. It seems to me that with data that directly affects peoples' finances and where there is room for subtle manipulation, there should be an independent, publicly accessible, audit to ensure all is fair and level.

I'm going to keep experimenting and try to find value, but, as I've said in other posts, USE CAUTION if you choose to do the same.
