Lee Westwood never won a major, and at almost 48, it's almost Bar closing time.

He's 2 in front of a v decent field, at a v tough course, where the final day pins are v tough.

3.5 is either a massive punt or a massive lay.

Am on the fence, but if push came to shove, would have to lay.

Normally I'd lay all day with Westwood in the final round but he's a different bloke these days it seems.

At the British Open some years ago he came out for the final round (when very much in contention) is his "meltdown outfit" (lairy shirt and ott mirrored wraparound shades) and promptly melted down. He was such a timid putter and could never get the ball to the hole - 'used to do my head in!

Now he's all smiles, still a great iron player and can even putt.

Still gotta be a lay though. Cue 7 shot win.

He is definitely enjoying life - and has reworked his swing.

An ex-mate was on the bag at a million dollar event at Sun City,
when he folded holding a 3 or 4 shot lead.

Sorta hope he wins, but have plenty of ammo lined up for lays
if he goes short.

Westie is a lovely bloke who did a great deal for my old Uni.

Sadly, he always gets the jitters when under the gun. He's a lay all day long. I'm looking at Bryson or JT myself. Youi can lay Casey under 20s too if so inclined.

Would love to see Westwood pull it off. Playing so well at 47!

Yes, me too. I'm rooting for him, and he's birdied the first then in the WATER! on the second... Let's hope. Should certainly be entertaining viewing this evening watching.

Justin Thomas has come along to pee all over Westwoods chances by the look of it.

He's a machine, that JT.

Frustrating actually. I'm predicting a play off JT and Lee, with Lee taking it.

We live in hope : - )
