I loved that! He was explaining his thought process and I found it really insightful when he mentioned looking at the putt line before he'd even stepped on to the green.Really good of him to agree to be miked up and comment during live play of a Major, by Rory I thought. Especially as it's the last one he needs for the Grand Slam. Sad to see he struggled on the back 9, but hopefully he'll card a 66 or 67 today and be here for the weekend.

Yes, I wish I'd stuck to my old policy of relentlessly laying Rory when sub 10s - he really has underperformed at this year's Masters, not even making the cut!

The trees were some added drama last night. Did a favour for Rahm I think as the wind around Amen corner would have been really tough to play through if they had resumed play.

At least he could tell people how rubbish he was live and direct from his little headset. There's never an excuse for only giving 99%.or thinking that's all it takes to win.
