Yep, as expected the last one let me down. 4 from 5 and 28% ROI is good enough for a couple of hours work.

Too early to tell but it seems to me I have much better luck/returns on the shorter races over 5f, 6f, 7f and 1m. I think the odds are stacked against you more so on longer races as the odds tend to drift badly if the horse doesn't look like its going to be in contention to win etc.

But still early days so that just maybe a fallacy on my part.

Off for a takeaway and a bottle of red (Maybe 2). :D :D :D :D :D

Have fun and don't bet more than £2 on a donkey.

For information purposes only...

Have fun. :)
Hi BetScalper, do you DoB all these selections that you put up or select ones with your own research

Many thanks
I select ones from that list. Minimum of 10 races. Then confirm pace from RUK and ATR. If there is more than 1 in the same race then I take the one with the biggest odds.
Thanks for the reply. Will give it a go tomorrow, enjoy your wine!!

Just use minimum stakes until you gain confidence in dobbing, if you not down it before etc.

Fascinating read gentleman, I’ve only recently got into dobbing, by only using any horse over 75% on the old format patternform dobbing cards, to a decent amount of success. Only using £10 stakes and greening at 25%, will follow the great content you guys are posting, cheers

What I am going to try tomorrow is use a trigger Dallas posted about breaking even on the dobbed selection and profiting on the rest of the field.

Reason being not many of these dobbed selections actually win the race.

Maybe another tool in the armoury.

Have fun.

I normally only look for 30% reduction and tend to stick with horses that have a pace figure of 8 or above , yesterdays results below

Good post.

Which pace criteria are you using. I sometimes find it strange that there can be big discrepancies between RUK , ATR and PC etc ?

They are mainly from my Database (Calculated based on previous run styles, still a work in progress to be honest same as my racecards and ratings )

Today I have trimmed the list down to those I believe will QOB (25%) IP. (or even HOB (50%))

I use the rule type; green all selections and the condition; Green all profit condition > (whatever 25% is of the original stake).
What this does is (when it matches) gives me a min of 25% and in many cases more, due to the volatility movement and IP delay.

Getting the sweet spot for the entry point is the fun part...can range from 1 hour up to 1 minute before the off. Maybe i should use a directional bot (backing) to enter the market during the morning, then let the IP bot take over the exit point. That way, tech permitting, I'd only need to focus on the selection process and set and forget.

Good luck anyone dobbing today, I'll be over in my local casino playing a poker tournament to try and qualify for day 2 on sunday. ;)

Here is a link to a trigger file Dallas created which could also be used for dob selections. If the dob wins the race then you breakeven, if any other horse wins then you profit.

I decided to take the plunge and signup for the Proform half price offer with the intent of QOBing. First try last night at Muss, Newmarket and Haydock. 11 selections using 25%, $20 stakes. 10 hit 1 miss, nice ~$50 profit. Early days but obviously a decent start.
