Today's Horse Racing
Thanks both
Waking up today I didn’t get a single bet matched on the feature given only four runners.
Otherwise I set the bots too aggressive - on the other hand the luck fell my way and so started off day one well up. Will dial it down a bit for the remainder.

The £567k was for the winner. Total prize money for The Judemonte was £1 million (my daughters got the race card with the prize money or I'd of sent a pic). Surprising there was only 4 runners when they were offering prize money for the 1st 6. Shows a lack of depth at the elite group end of racing but that's always been the case for as long as I can remember.
Thanks Shaun - that really helps me calibrate.
Hope the markets are treating you well.
Gaz.

Two cracking days at York bar being about £1200 down but can live with that. York is a stunning race course and a great day/night out and can highly recommend a visit for anyone who likes a day out at the races.
Agree about York course, certainly the best in the NorthMichael5482 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 25, 2023 7:49 amTwo cracking days at York bar being about £1200 down but can live with that. A family member used to work in the Swallow hotel right next to the course - there were quite a few perks to her job
I've not been for 3-4 years so not even sure if its still there or been taken over by another chain
Yes, Tuesday was the Benson & Hedges Gold Cup, I think the Ebor was on Wednesday and the William Hill Sprint Championships on Thursday, when I had double maths, my favourite subject, but I'd have to bunk it all summer long for the racing.
In the noughties a few meetings like the Ebor and Newmarket July (even the Cheltenham Festival was seriously considered) were extended to Saturday because the selfish gits who should be working and paying tax while we're enjoying the racing wanted to see more sport.
