Commentators get the dangle wrong again. I should have had bigger balls again.

Far side holds on.

Well done! I watched the replay and would never have called that correctly from the initial passage over the finish line as shown live.

I’m enjoying all these posts, James.
Thanks. Thought it was about 60/40 in favour of the far side based on their freeze frame, and given the odds available it was worth a tickle.

Aye, it looked a completely different proposition on the replay, but not nailed on by any means so I think it’s a tidy bit of work committing money to it.

That said, I can’t believe the number of tracks where the camera at the finish is about 30 yards to one side of the line!

They are my favourites!

Was disappointed to see that Newcastle have recently fixed their slo-mo camera position.

Kempton 18:00; had a few quid on the 2nd at 1000 after the winner charged the gate and led all the way. Have never seen the stewards pick up on this in the UK. In the US that would probably have been chucked.

Stalls failure? Stalls should be strong enough to hold a keen horse. Was the horse disqualified for the course having "insufficient equipment"?! ... doesn't seem fair. But well done for picking it up and monetising it :D

Newcastle slo-mo has reverted back to close to the old angle. But I cannot find a line that fits here that gives nearside the win? Looks like Newcastle requires relearning. Cost me a few bob, this one...

And for me the total opposite  Looking back now, running through the footage cold, and considering all the angles available if I could go again I would have bet more than I did on far side. I would have been certain.

The line is somewhere in this vicinity.

The only thing I can think is that the winning horse has his head right down and is much lower than the 2nd in the photo. Must be a trick of the angle depth.

Chelmsford 20:15; £100s put up for the clear winner all the way up to 1.15 half a furlong out. What was all that in aid of? What did people see?
