Hi,

Could anyone hazard a guess as to why the attached file is not placing bets?

As your applying the rules to Guardian Noms1 & 2 i assume you are selecting the two horses you want on the main Guardian page?
If so does it work even if only selecting the runner in guardian noms 1?

Hi Dallas,

I don't always select the second nom in guardian just depends on my selection process. I've found that it can be intermittent where sometimes it fires and more often it doesn't. It has fired on single and double selections but not always when it should. To add to the confusion, 2 days ago I read the log and it said it had placed both the back and lay bets but the lay bet did not match despite the selection going on to win the race.

Heres a couple of things to check through as a process of elimination

1) Which version of Bet Angel are you using? a few version back (about V1.44) there was a small bug which effected the guardian noms in certain situations - this has since been fixed so if your using a later version this can be rule out if not then start by upgrading to the latest version
https://www.betangel.com/download/?product=BetAngelPro

2) Your rule is set to trigger within a 10 sec window, depending on how many markets you have in guardian and the refresh rate being used this could also be a reason its not always triggering, the thread below explains how cycling markets effects automation (it was written prior to the introduction of streaming which lets you updates markets as fast as 20ms and not 200ms as stated in the thread but the same principal still applies)
http://www.betangel.com/forum/viewtopic ... 37&t=11491

3) Finally in guardian with the market selected in the bottom window there is a automation tab at the bottom which will show which rules have triggered and when, its worth checking this if it does not trigger when expected then investigate that specfic rule type to see if any errors can be found.

If you have gone through the above and still no joy just post back

Hi Dallas,

2 & 3 I was already aware of but found that the version I was using was 1.44.0 so one problem cured. The reason the lay bet wasn't being matched is it wasn't getting kept in play. I reduced the delay and rearm triggers from 5 sec to 2 sec and it has worked well today for 10 selections over 7 markets and everything going as it should. Looking forward to going live tomorrow and I don't anticipate any further problems.

A big thanks from me, your input was extremely helpful.
