Confused by the back and lay columns. Please help!
This is driving me crazy so please help if you can. My understanding is the that the back columns are blue and the lay columns are pink and that the blue column is always on the left and the pink on the right. I also understand that the lay odds are always higher. However on a number of videos and screenshots that have been posted here on various threads the pink column is showing on the left and the blue on the right and even more confusing is that it looks like you can back at higher odds than the lay. On the diagram on this thread ihttp://www.betangel.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=47&t=12967 it looks like you could stake a back bet of £127 on the runner desert retreat at odds of 3.85 and stake a lay bet of £403 at odds of 3.15. This just can't be right. In this example is the back column actually the pink one on the left and the lay column the blue one on the right? Even more confusing is that in the first attachment it says back above the pink column and lay above the blue column but then underneath were it says unmatched bets, back has a blue color and lay has a pink color!
Its possible to display the odds using as normal or reverse and this is why things look different, its a matter of personal preference and trading style as to which one to use
