... and here was I thinking what is a respectable score that implies no shame - I think if we only lose by 2 we have done alright.

A draw would be monumental.

Saudi played far worse and russia was 1.5 to win. France 1.28 is too short.

They are out to 1.54 at half time.

Pretty happy with that half. Realistically we have nothing to lose here. A draw is a huge plus for us, whereas anything other than a win for France is disaster. At what point in the second half if it is still scoreless do the French start getting worried?

giroud is big enough to not get bullied by big australia defenders. if he comes on france might have a chance.

I think the dynamic in these types of matches are interesting. LIke you say France have everything to lose and you feel that would probably affect the way they play.

The French are certainly loving VAR and GL tech!

great game Aussie :) Good strong play. Lay'd the draw at 4.7 and 3.7. Got out at 11.5  Could have got better and lay'd again under 3's but the French looked soft so wasn't sure. VAR indeed. Hopefully (and being an ex football player myself am acutely aware) them Nancy dives/hand's of God( notwithstanding the French penalty) will reduce over time now they are under brighter lights. Man up yer f&*%$ckrs. :x
Arzani came on too late. That boy is a star.

Well we certainly weren't humilated, but France looked a long way from a title contender there. Complacent against competition they didn't respect?
