ok Thanks.. Big shame every day is not like last night's volume then, as my bot (tamed a bit since rogue bot post the other day) seemed to like last night. I'll probably only venture into the Aus markets for Saturdays or Group 1 days then. I'm only using tiny stakes at the moment so I could just set my bot up and see what happens.

If your using tiny stakes then it shouldn’t be a problem . If your new to Australian Racing then the Australian Racing fact books give a good overview of the sport, from racetracks , breeding, top races, wagering etc .

List of top 50 races by prize money will give you some idea of the tracks to concentrate on re liquidity

I think I will give tonight's session a miss as there just isn't enough on to justify the effort for me. When you take out the NSW meetings (due to the 24 race limit a week and wanting to keep some for Saturday) that leaves:

Flemington - 9 races - 1:15am - 6:45am
Pakenham - 7 races - 1:39am - 5:39am
Warnambool - 7 races - 2:50am - 7:00am
Ipswich - 6 races - 3:43am - 7:10am
Gawler - 7 races - 2:45am - 6:55am

Away from Flemington I would expect the markets to be very quiet given it is a Thursday session and there are staggered start/finishes.

Also, for me, it would mean missing the three UK/Irish meetings tonight in order to get sufficient sleep so the money I would miss out there taken off what I would expect to get from the Ozzies makes it very unlikely the rewards would justify the effort, plus I wouldn't be expecting to trade the UK racing on Thursday as well due to the interrupted sleep.

Along with the fact that it would make the Saturday session tough on such interrupted sleep pattern, it all points to it not being worth it for me.

So good luck to those that are doing it, I hope you smash the session and prove me wrong and I wake up tomorrow wishing I had done it!

I'll be saving myself for Saturday too for much the same reasons

Flemington has the Group 1 VRC Oaks($1million prize money ) on Thursday and lots of other interesting competitive races, and I’ve always had a soft spot for Hawkesbury, and enjoy their gold cup . They have the $150,000 Ladies Day Cup on Thursday one of their bigger days of the season .

I've got mixed feelings about tonight. I have good records at Ipswich, Warnambool and Pakenham, but as you say PDC they're likely to be thin. Flemington wasn't the usual scalping market on Tuesday and will need a different approach but I'll trade the first few and see how it goes.

I normally trade Thursday's and the liquidity is usually alright, tomorrow should be quite a bit better so I'm looking forward to it.

I've never done that well on Thursday, but I am committed this year to do each day. So will be giving it a go, but I don't have high expectations. You never know.

I'm obviously trading smaller stakes than you but I'm enjoying my scalping. :D
