So how come I can use a VPN for Betfair in a banned country, when on holiday.Dallas wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2019 12:53 pmA VPS is a physical server and in the case of Bet Angels there's are located here in the UK so have UK IP addresses and connect directly to the BF and BD servers so work exactly the same as connecting from your own PC
A VPN routes you through IP addresses, so only takes one IP to be located in a banned country or used by many others etc and it flags alarms at BD and BF
Betdaq Account suspended

If the VPN is giving you a UK IP or one from a permitted country they won't have any reason to block it.
Unless you are routed through a banned country/IP address or one that been used by numerous other users and is known to be a VPN

This is my point how come Betdaq have blocked it but Betfair hasnt? and its only for Deposits and withdrawals, once i have managed to deposit some money I can trade through the VPN no problems.Dallas wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2019 3:24 pmIf the VPN is giving you a UK IP or one from a permitted country they won't have any reason to block it.

They are two different companies and Betfair is licenced to operate in more countries than Betdaq.gstar1975 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 25, 2019 12:31 pmThis is my point how come Betdaq have blocked it but Betfair hasnt? and its only for Deposits and withdrawals, once i have managed to deposit some money I can trade through the VPN no problems.
For the second part you'd need to contact Betdaq and ask why they block you when dep/WD but still allow bets to be placed with your current VPN and routing to there server
...same - I had an outright football bet matched over Christmas (when I was overseas and not even trading) - they settled the bet but tell me the account is 'permanently suspended' and will not review the decision.
