Right, bit by bit I'm learning, thanks to all, especially Dallas.
I have been putting the following automation file on test, it's working very well, the only downside is, if the price of the horse in question does not rise enough, I don't get a trade.
So, I thought it might be worth, looking for the horse in question to go a few ticks in my favour for the first 10 minutes, then, say 2 minutes before the off, cancel that order and simply take the best price available, then continue to look for a 20% profit. If the 20% profit does not kick in, before 15 seconds into the race, I would look to simply green up at that stage.
Would it be best to set fill and kill at 600 (10 minutes) then I take it, if it was not successful, it just ceases to exist? Then, say 90 seconds before the off put in a back bet at best market price. Would the stop loss, green etc already in the bat file take care of everything else?
Thanks!!
Info on next step
Yes, that is correct.Henry1963 wrote: ↑Tue May 07, 2019 2:48 pm

On your 2nd back bet rule if you add a 'Number of matched bets condition' is equal to 0
That will also ensure it only triggers if the first hasn't been matched
Hi Dallas,
Tried the attached bat, with my luck the price came out and so didn't get the chance to see if the back bet would be placed just before the off, but the back bet was placed at several ticks above original entry price. However, it didn't green up when it appeared to reached above 20%, is there a reason for this? Well, I know there's a reason, what haven't I done? Or what have I done?

That file has no pre-off green up rule in itHenry1963 wrote: ↑Tue May 07, 2019 8:26 pmHi Dallas,

Also, your 2nd back bet rule is applied to the runner in row 1, not the guardian nominated 1 selection as your first rule is
