Not sure if anyone else has experienced this today - seems like many no-hopers getting heavily backed in across markets.
At least after I've just layed them to trade!
As per, the horses themselves perform exactly as I thought though in the race - rubbish.
Laid two that practically came last in their races, yet both in sequence were plunged on in the market...sighs

Your experience reminds me of when I made the transition from betting to trading, backing horses I thought were outstanding value, only to see them win after I had to trade for a loss and vice versa.stueytrader wrote: ↑Mon May 27, 2019 4:12 pmNot sure if anyone else has experienced this today - seems like many no-hopers getting heavily backed in across markets.

It's not entirely irrelevant the way I trade though - I always unbalance my book. Or usually at least. So the fact they did so bad did help partly for me.Derek27 wrote: ↑Mon May 27, 2019 4:24 pmYour experience reminds me of when I made the transition from betting to trading, backing horses I thought were outstanding value, only to see them win after I had to trade for a loss and vice versa.stueytrader wrote: ↑Mon May 27, 2019 4:12 pmNot sure if anyone else has experienced this today - seems like many no-hopers getting heavily backed in across markets.

I'm just wondering why punters are lumping their cash on complete dogs...

Exactly same just happened again - lay traded Parisien Artiste, due to lack of stamina, win/place.
Backed in on both markets quite heavy - finished last as predicted.
Days like these you feel like going back to simple laying again...

I realise it's not justified, hence the horses' finishing positions, just wondered why that's all. Nearly all these ran exactly as in the form book, so nothing hidden.
I've given up asking the question "why was that backed?" a long time ago.stueytrader wrote: ↑Mon May 27, 2019 4:47 pmI realise it's not justified, hence the horses' finishing positions, just wondered why that's all. Nearly all these ran exactly as in the form book, so nothing hidden.

Everywhere I go I meet people who are completely bonkers so I guess some of them are using the exchange.
