BF Suspensions on lin v eve very worrying. So long with no reason from the flow of the game.

I've never seen this length of suspensions on BF (lin v eve) in a market with £1M. Whats going on?

I guess I've answered my own question. Use BA to cashout, not BF. Lesson learned.

WTF's going on? Score's 2-1 and the O/U 3.5 goals market is settled!!

It's reopened now. Puts me right of trading football if it happens a lot, could have been costly if a goal was scored. I think the 2.5 market closed after a second goal and the third was scored 4 minutes later!

Presumably Gigg Lane is worth far more as redevelopment land.
But for the several thousand supporters, that doesn't help.
Apparently there's a caveat when trying to sell Gigg Lane for redevelopment. Whoever wants to use it for that, has to build a new football stadium to replace it. Will be interesting to see how/if that gets resolved legally.

The £2.7million debt could have been managed/negotiated, however, any serious "investor" would want the land as insurance to make a long term profit. No wonder they all pulled out.

Maybe Bury could do a Newport (in 1989/90) and drop into the Northern version of the Hellenic Non-League. Took them 24 years to get back.

Cheers for that. Just read this Independent article on what happens next.

Stewart Day and Steve Dale have a lot to answer for.
Thin comfort for Bury supporters to know that Gigg Lane can only be sold as as a sports stadium. It presumably will sit unused unless the new owner is willing bankroll Bury 'Phoenix' playing there.
Very sad.

If Palace can beat United, then Southampton should be odds on today!

That is how football betting works, isn't it? :D

In all seriousness, I can see some grounds for opposing United but there's something about it that doesn't feel right.

It's hard to trust your stats driven process sometimes when your gut says no.

I'd imagine OGS would look for a reaction after the humiliating defeat at OT, but not entirely convinced by his tactics and desire to bring back the 90's United style. He already has a worse points per game ratio than all the previous managers, and I can easily see it getting much worse, may be in well over his head.

Not a fan of speculating too much before a game, I prefer to see how the game unfolds.

Thanks for your views, nevertheless. You obviously know your stuff.

I agree, it was a peculiar appointment, which appeared vindicated after the misleadingly good start.

The market is pricing in a 0.40ish advantage to Utd. So that's about 0.80 more than if they were evenly matched.

Gut feeling : Hasenhuttl is going to get it right sooner or later.
United have got rid of the problem players (although I've always liked Smalling), but Pogba is in a lynch-pin position.
He turns up when he wants. If he does, they win, if not they're vulnerable unless OGS takes him off.
I won't touch it with a bargepole as I don't have BT Sport, so can't watch Pogba's body language.

Perfect line-up for LFC. Except maybe Adrian :| .

2-0 from nothing. Extraordinary.
