Got a good result on the Caufield cup, but I agree on the other stuff.

It felt like one of those days where nothing went quite right and you had to work hard for a result.

Horse missing the start in the cup certainly didnt help my day overall so so. Hoping Angelic Ruler can get the job done in the last Caulfield

Don't know what it is about Newcastle, but people take the best price on offer, whatever it happens to be!
you mean favourites all drifting?
This is what I mean. The early trading is completely crazy. You can get bets on around £50 and immediately take 10 ticks.

but have to wait to get matched, probabla good strategy for automation

Nice one Rik, were the greyhounds particularly liquid today ,dumb punters around or just normal for a Saturday morning?

Maybe have to look at the Greyhounds. Haven't paid much attention to them TBH, just assumed liquidity would be poor.

Just had a look at some of my bots records from the night and liquidity wasn't much for the dogs so you've done extremely well to to get £98 out of the 8:08 where the matched volume at the off was only £1K and even picking £207 out of the £13K matched in the 9:47 is some feat. My bot found no opportunities in the first one and made a mighty £1.36 in the second, I need to up my skills

When I say early I mean 5-10 minutes out when the market's active but not formed. Not worthwhile for the money you get out of the markets but when I stick out a begging bowl I don't complain about how much is dropped in it. :)

r8 Ballarat had £3.7k and r6 Wentworth Pk had slightly more, can't imagine its trading

I’ve taken a look at my long term stats.

Dogs are profitable for me at 30% of the rate of horses. That result is over the long term and quite consistently too. Month after month year after year whatever I get on horses it’s 30% on dogs.

Indeed.

Also Rik might let us in on how only 12 races to "trade" were selected from 6 greyhound meetings.
