Is there a way to Lay the Favourite, but have an instruction to NOT Lay it if it is a specified named runner?
For the avoidance of doubt, no other runner would be Layed.

yes -a simple way would be to use the relative odds and compare the ANY selection to your Named runner. only if the back odds and lay odds are different, would you take action. You could also use a signals or stored values in a similar way (as long as you named the selection) -thus excluding it..
