These late gambles are really starting to piss me off and are getting a lot more common...4.4 into 2.9 in caused by one guy just hammering it

Snipers who laid 'The pines' in the 2nd at Snshine coast cos it was slow away, got buried.

market making in running or betting laying according to how you see the race develop?
I make it up as I go really. A bit of whatever is presented. The 40% rate of PC soon to really make things even more dreary.

The markets are very static. Quite often a leader will jump at $5 and for no reason be stuck at $6 for most of the race and within a second or two be trading < $2. The market used to cycle a lot more, now it's more static outside Saturday.
Strange as you'd have thought in-play liquidity would've improved with all these trading courses in Oz they seem to be doing.

I back in-running in Qld, Tas and WA as I've noticed there's so many people ahead especially in Melbourne.
what do you mean ahead? of sky racing stream?

Welcome to the best day of racing in Australia, Derby Day plus the new Golden Eagle.

I'll be on auto early in the day but plan to intervene myself come the G1s and the Eagle.

Its a sunny day here in Sydney but it looks wet and cold down in Melbourne, which is a pity.

Wishing my fellow forum members a great day whether you are trading, punting or just observing.

to better understand how far behind you are time wise ..... put on your headphones and you will hear Peter voice telling you that the market is suspended. the race is essentially over at the last furlong mark. just be aware it's not 3 secs, i dont trade as such. just be aware. the longer races will be worse. i had my headphones on yesterday and i was surprised at the delay.

I really need to be alerted one hour before the first race - got caught out doing the chores and missed the first at Rosehill.
