My Mac book pro is a few years old now and screen starting to flicker etc, I don’t currently use it for trading as I couldn’t get to grips or manage to use vps software I think it’s called, so was wondering if buying a normal windows laptop.
Any advise for someone who’s not too technically gifted would be appreciated.

I use a mid 2012 macbook pro with windows 10 installed - I changed out the hdd for a sdd. This thing is a work horse, still works like a charm. A mackbook pro should last more than a few years imo. Perhaps try trouble shooting your problem or taking it in to get fixed and get windows installed.

EDIT: just googled your problem and it seems like you could use an SMC reboot. Follow the instructions in this link.

IMO, if you are not 'technically gifted' stick to what you know...(btw there's no such thing....its just gumption...)

If you know apple, stay with apple, if you know windows, stay with windows...

Personally, I dislike Apple, because I can't work them...they're retarded..yep... it's nothing to do with me expecting it to behave like windows :)

The best laptop would have 2 x 24inch screens :) The rest of the specifications don't really matter that much...*almost* any computer will do it...just avoid the bottom of the price range...(which you'd be doing if you buy an Apple)...
