Who on earth would be worrying about how some PR guy like Campbell votes , I'm guessing Shaun is yearning for the return of New Labour and middle of the road tory policies.

Let's not forget that Johnson is also very centrist/wet. He's in favour of an amnesty for illegals, high government spending and is socially liberal. He's far from the right winger the media try to portray him as.

He's way too wet for me!, but I might have to hold my nose and vote Tory this time as there isn't a non-leftist alternative in my constituency. It's either that or spoil my ballot paper. It's a tough one.

? Not sure I'd want him any more to the right. But tbh Boris doesn't really have a political agenda just a personal one.

The Heseltine speech this afternoon was thought provoking.

I think Johnson is a bit of a political chameleon.

Its an interesting dynamic that there are utterly self-centred poilticians and politicians whose priority is public service. Boris is financially secure, so what is his real motivation? It would seem Corbyn is well-paid, but has no capitalist holdings. So BJ is there for power? And Corbyn is there to implement an idealogical agenda?

....and what are your provoked thoughts, ShaunWhite? To me Hesletine is evidently pro-europe. But I beleve it is true that Brexit is just the start. We would be entering decades of negotiations that may, or may not, yield better deals than under the EU.
It just seems incomprehensible to me that a market of 63 million can negotiate better deals than a market of 500 million.
Thats not how capitalism works? Shirley?

Channel 4 climate debate. No Conservative representative. Looks poor to me.

Nothing the UK does regarding climate change will make any kind of difference.

You need to get USA, Russia, China, North Korea and India in a room as they contribute around 88% between them to the issue. But its not and probably never will be a priority for those countries. So basically the rest of us are stuffed.

But dont believe everything your told about climate change. Most of the problem was going to happen anyway due to other factors which mankind can do nothing about. As the Earth is drifting closer to the Sun each year and some have argued that's one major reason for global warming.

Anyway, meanwhile, back at the ranch - Tory majority now 1.4 from, was it 1.55?
